Poker Hand Range Analysis Beginner Guide

To start using Poker Potjie you need to do three things.

  1. Enter your starting hand
    This is optional, you can also leave your starting hand blank. Any hand you enter for yourself will remove possible starting hands that your opponent could be holding.
  2. Enter the board cards
    This is optional, you can leave the board cards blank to: cook or calculate equity pre-flop.
  3. Select a range for your opponent.
    This is the percentage of poker hands your opponent is playing with.

Click 'Cook'
You can also calculate your poker hand's equity by clicking the 'Calculate Equity' button.

Poker Odds and Poker Equity

Poker Odds are similar to Poker Equity. Poker odds represent two opposing outcomes compared against one another... losing vs winning, bad cards vs good cards. While poker equity is the percentage chance of a poker hand winning against the chance of all possible events.
